Ok, Call me crazy, seriously, go ahead. Today I just about did myself and Craig, in! It started yesterday...I was setting up for my yard sale when I received a phone call saying someone wanted to see the house...tomorrow (which means today). Ok, that's cool. I was so excited that when the agent said 12:45 I said ok. Once I hung up, I realized, Oh my goodness, I'm having a yard sale during that time. How's that gonna work? The yard sale wasn't scheduled to end until 1:00. I called my agent and she tried to get it changed but couldn't. So, I was stuck with the dilemma of end the yard sale early or what?
So, fast forward to today. My morning started at 5am setting up the yard sale. Everything was going good. My in-laws and Craig stayed inside to clean for the showing. My neighbor came over and offered her yard for my sale so I didn't have to pack up too early. Craig said that was crazy but I thought that sounded like a good idea. So, we packed up ALL our stuff and moved it across the street. I won't tell you the number of people that stopped by the sale after we moved it but I'll give you a hint...Craig was right.
Right before the family came to view the house, I did a whirlwind trip around the house to finish the "cleaning." Then out the door. Martia and Jerry (my in-laws) drove up and placed a new plant on the door...just as they drove away, the family drove up to look at the house. It was fun getting to watch the family check out my house while sitting at my yard sale at the neighbors house. But shortly after they left, I realized I had scheduled a time with my agent to view a house with my in-laws. I left the yard sale boxes at the neighbor's and ran across town to look at a house when I realized oops, we have a swim party in Mississippi today. We left the house to get changed and on the road to the party.
We didn't get home until 8:30pm so then it was time to get the kids in bed and then lug the boxes from the neighbor's house back to ours! Ugggh! My word of advice, do not have a showing on the same day as a yard sale. I am sooooooooo tired zzzzzzzzz.

Channing's 4th birthday

My sweet little princess turned 4 today. She's already walking around saying she can do everything Sullivan can do because she's "bigger" now. Last night before bed, she exclaimed that when she woke up she would be 4 and a big girl. My sweet baby is getting big.

She couldn't wait to put on her Aurora dress...it was her birthday after all. It had been off limits though we bought it months ago...but for her tea party. She put the dress on earlier this morning and wore it all day...even out with Craig while running some last minute birthday errands.
Craig said she got told like a million times how cute she looked and she proudly told everyone it was her birthday. One lady at the Dollar Tree gave her $2 and told her to buy something for her birthday. She'll probably want to wear that dress everywhere now, hoping she can get more money.

Channing's birthday party was a lot of fun though Craig and I worked our tails off. I think we've gotten a little spoiled with the previous help from my in-laws. This party we were on our own...we survived but we were running around a lot!

All Channing's little friends were adorable in their dresses. Snow White paid us a visit and the girls just thought she was wonderful. Snow White read them a story and helped serve tea and cake. She also stayed around and posed for pictures with all the kids. I think including Channing, there were 12 little princesses running around here.

I'm thinking I probably went a little overboard on this party...I'm just guessing. I had way too much stuff and the girl's goody bags were overflowing. There were 3 tea sets, princess cut-outs and make-up galore! I think I started shopping for this party the day after her last party. I'm thinking I probably shouldn't do that for the next one or we'll be in the poor house. So, next year... maybe smaller scale with not as much "stuff". Channing did have a blast so I'd gladly do it again.

on the market...
Well we did it. We finally got this house listed on the market. No pictures yet and can't show it yet (b/c the house is still a mess!) Craig and I have been working our tails off but between both of our busy schedules...there's just not enough time. This week I have VBS all week plus I'm trying to get ready for Channing's birthday party Saturday. I'm not even sure my house will be clean for the party! I'm in desperate need of boxes to pack up my stuff, so if you got any, let me know.
I'm quickly filling the storage unit and the garage. I do have planned a yardsale for next week, weather permitting, if anyone's interested. I have a few friends wanting to come early. Believe me...there's plenty to go around!
As we signed the papers last night, Craig double checked...did I really want to do this. Of course, it's sad moving forward. This is our first house. We moved here because I was working as an OT in Jackson and needed something close to the interstate. Never would we have imagined that 10 years later we'd have a 10 year old, a 7 year old and a (almost) 4 year old. My how time flies. This has been a great house and I look forward to the next home and the memories that will fill that place. I don't, however, look forward to moving all my stuff.
I'm praying that the house sells quickly (wouldn't that be nice) so I can start playing with the new home. Of course, all the houses I've looked at that I've liked, get snatched up right after I look at them. Can't wait to let you know what we find and how the house selling business goes in Arlington!

Birthday wish

I've wanted to get Channing's ears pierced for quite some time but Craig felt it should be her choice and wanted it to be her decision. Well for several months she's been requesting to have her ears pierced like mommy's. Craig tried to "scare" her off by telling her it would hurt and they would use a needle to poke a hole in her ear. After some consideration....she told him that was fine, she still wanted her ears pierced like mommy's.
With her birthday coming up this weekend, Craig finally gave in and let me take Channing to get her ears pierced. We went to several jewelry stores to see if they sold piercing earrings but we weren't able to find any so we settled for the cheap ones from Claire's. I wasn't thrilled but Channing thought they were lovely!
I was very nervous...I wanted them to be perfectly even. I made the poor lady at Claire's redraw the dot like 4 times. It wasn't helping that the child wouldn't stop running her mouth. I'm not sure if it was nervous chatter but she wouldn't stop asking questions. After the first piercing, Channing didn't even flinch. She looked up at the lady and proclaimed, "That didn't even hurt one bit!"

The second one didn't go in as well and the lady had to mess with it a bit. Channing winced a bit and later stated she would not be doing that again. She couldn't wait to look in the mirror and get her sucker!

house hunting
Well we've started that process of looking for a new home. Looking was lots of fun but I am definitely not looking forward to the actual moving process. Of course, that is if we can actually sell our house. It's hard looking and finding great houses and we don't even have our house on the market. We have a lot to do around the house before we can do that...but we're working on it. We are filling up a storage unit trying to get the house presentable. Wish us luck!

high pain tolerance?
I swear either Dalton has a high pain tolerance or poor sensation all over. That boy...yesterday on the way home from therapy he asked, "Mom, my tooth's loose, can I pull it." I told him to wait til we got home, so I could check it myself. Sure enough it looked loose but not sure if ready to come out. Next thing I know, Dalton's holding his tooth and blood was coming out of his mouth. Then, last night, Sullivan summons us upstairs because Dalton's toe was bleeding. Dalton's waterworks started once he was getting attention, but somehow he sliced his toe open and we still don't know how he did it! It was a pretty bad slice but he wasn't upset until Sullivan and dad were making such a big deal about it! Yikes! Sullivan on the other hand, takes forever to pull a tooth that is just dangling there, and you better believe we know every scrape, bruise, bump, etc...that Channing gets and how she got it.

Happy Father's Day

I am so thankful for my precious husband. He is an awesome husband and dad. I think one of the things I love the most is how hands-on he is with the kids. Just a few moments ago, he demonstrated great patience as he played UNO with Dalton and Channing. Of course, Sullivan was a little busy with his ipod which has become a permanent appendage for him!

Craig is an awesome dad. Taking the kids to the park, going out to eat with just the kids, giving them baths or just playing in the back yard are all special things the kids love about him.

Today, we got to celebrate Father's day in a very special way, by Sullivan getting baptized. I am so glad Martia and Jerry were in town to be able to see Sullivan take this big step. To me,Sullivan looked so small up there during the service, but to Channing, he looked liked a giant. Both Channing and Dalton were beaming from ear to ear, so proud of their brother. Of course, my eyes were filled with tears...tears of joy and excitement. I definitely was one proud momma.

Afterwards, Sullivan joined me in my Sunday School class and was so excited. He couldn't wait for me to announce to the class that he got baptized. The sweet joy and excitement is refreshing and reminds me of the joy we too should have from that same experience, no matter how long ago it was!

Congratulations my sweet Sullivan! I am so proud of you!
